Our Futures, Our Graduation
Compared the rest of the nation, women in Utah are less likely to get a college degree. Utah Valley University (UVU) has a lower percentage female students enrolled when compared to any other university in the state.
As a female student at UVU I have seen the difference an education can make. Women in Utah Valley deserve to experience the success, confidence, knowledge, and self-discovery gained through education. Though my mother passed away when I was young, she instilled in me the immense importance of education. She served women in the Turning Point Program at UVSC and dedicated her life to service, family, and education.
I created this scholarship fund to honor my mother and give the gift of education to the deserving and capable women of Utah Valley.
Our goal is $30,000 by 2015 for an endowed scholarship for women
